Loft Editions is a printmaking studio established in 2023 in Cape Town (00) by printer Georgina Berens. Loft collaborates with artists to produce quality limited-edition fine art prints.

Artists spend time working in the studio with Georgina (0) who facilitates the technical side of the printmaking process from start to finish. Once signed by the artist (00), prints are published by Loft Editions and are available for sale in studio or online (000). The studio is a space primed for collaboration and experimentation, constantly changing to accommodate and support the artist (00) in residence. We love creating a studio space where artists can excel both technically and conceptually within the realm of hand printed artworks and works on paper.

Although Loft Editions focuses on publishing and art fair participation (by invitation only), members of the public can book (000) one on one printing time in the studio or take part in community workshops (00).

Workshops — from time to time we teach fun and informative community workshops in the studio (00). No previous printing experience is necessary as we will be there to guide you through the entire print process (00) step by step. You will leave the workshop with a new skill and your own hand printed artworks (00).

Whether developing a specific edition or exploring printmaking for the first time, we welcome applications from visual artists across all disciplines. No prior printing experience is required.

Working With LOFT Editions

  • Please note that we quote on a day rate. Any additional studio time beyond the quoted scope will be billed at an hourly rate — we will notify you before any additional time is incurred.
  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm your studio booking. Deposits are non-refundable but may be applied to a future project at our discretion.
  • Prints are available for collection from our studio once payment has been made in full.
  • Shipping can be arranged at an additional cost — please let us know if you require delivery.
  • Quotes generally include all materials and tools required for the project. If there are specific materials you would like to bring to the studio, please let us know in advance.
  • We do not rent out our studio space independently.
  • LOFT Editions is a collaborative space, and we bring care, attention, and positive energy to every project. We hope you'll bring the same openness to the process.
